Recent reporting by the Jersey Evening Post highlighted renewed political support for Jersey’s regulated biopharmaceutical sector following the industry’s first profitable year.
Economic Development Minister Kirsten Morel called for continued backing for the sector, describing it as a “high-value, low-footprint” industry with long-term economic potential for the Island. The report also noted the sector’s expansion beyond medicinal cannabis into broader biopharmaceutical and medical technology activity.
